Entries invited for award

Prajasakti Telugu daily has invited applications for "Moturu Hanumantha Rao Best Journalist Award". Entries on stories published between May 1 last and April 2006 are to be submitted by month-end at the daily's office here.

The award along with cash is to be presented on June 18, according to a press release by K. Satyanarayana, chairman, Prajashakti Sahiti Trust.

One crore hits for SSC results

The Government-Citizen portal APOnline received one crore hits and over 2.5 million downloads on the SSC results day. The bandwidth used was above 60 mbps.

APOnline, a joint venture between Tata Consultancy Services and State Government set up 12 servers and acquired an additional bandwidth to support additional traffic, a release said. This was was made possible by TCS's round-the-clock team, the release added.
