BJP condoles Mahajan's death

HOMAGE: Rajya Sabha MP K.B. Shanappa offering floral tributes to BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, who died in Mumbai on Wednesday, at a condolence meeting convened by the district unit of the BJP in Gulbarga on Thursday.

GULBARGA: Tributes were paid to BJP leader Pramod Mahajan at a condolence meeting organised by the district unit of the party.

Senior BJP leaders, including K.B. Shanappa, Rajya Sabha MP, and Dayanand Dharwadkar, city unit president, said that Mr. Mahajan's untimely death was a loss not only to the party, but also to the nation.

Mr. Shanappa recalled Mr. Mahajan's visits to Gulbarga district during the previous elections, and said that his rhetoric skills were unmatched. Those who spoke on the occasion included H.A. Reddy, former Deputy Mayor of Gulbarga City Municipal Corporation.

Mr. Shanappa and others paid floral tributes in front of Mr. Mahajan's portrait.
