CHENNAI: The Army held on Wednesday an exhibition at Rajarathinam stadium in Egmore from April 26 onwards.

`Know Your Army' is an attempt to highlight the importance of the Army's activities to the common man. Public can walk in between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to have a glimpse of mass band display, judo and karate performances.

A nominal entry fee is charged, an official release said.

Stalls displaying infantry weapons, nuclear biological and chemical warfare equipment, missiles and state-of-the-art satellite communication are other attractions.

The initiative to spread awareness about the forces among the common man was organised by the General Officer Commanding of ATNK and K area, Maj. Gen. Sivasankar.

The president of the Army Wives Welfare Association, Omana Sankar, and senior Army officials, also witnessed the exhibition, the release added.
