VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh's C.B. Raju and S.K. Rednam claimed the doubles title in the over 65 section, defeating state-mates V. Chiranjeevi Rao and V. Nani Rao 6-2, 6-3 in the Gokaraju memorial all-India tennis tournament for veterans at the Youth Cultural Club in Bhimavaram on Saturday. Earlier, V. Chiranjeevi bounced back to defeat Tamil Nadu's Lakshmanan 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 to enter the final of the over 65 section. The results: (A.P. players unless stated): 45+ singles (semifinals): Anand Swaroop bt K.R. Raman 6-2, 6-0; S. Sethu (T.N.) bt K. Meher Prakash 6-0, 6-0. 55+ singles: Srikanth Parekh (Mah) bt M. Sarma 6-4, 6-0; V. Rammohan Rao bt T.A.P.N. Rao 6-1, 6-3. 65+ singles: V. Chiranjeevi bt T.N. Lakshmanan (T.N.) 3-6, 6-1, 6-2; C. Radhakrishnan (T.N.) bt A.J. Keerthi Kumar (T.N.) 6-1, 6-1. 65+ doubles (final): C.B. Raju/S.K. Rednam bt V. Chiranjeevi Rao/V. Nani Rao 6-2, 6-3.
