Water supply to be affected for two days

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has announced that water supply to certain parts of the city will be affected on Sunday and Monday because of the disruption in power supply to the pump house at Thippagondanahalli water treatment plant and pump houses at Tavarekere and Srigandadhakaval on Saturday.

According to a BWSSB press release, the areas to be affected are Basaveshwaranagar (1st to 4th Stage), KHB Colony 1st and 2nd Stage, Kamakshipalya, Meenakshinagar, Sannakkibayalu, BEML Layout, Kurubarahalli, Sharada Colony, Nandini Layout, Mahalakshmi Layout, Goruguntepalya, Sreekanteshwaranagar, Shankaranagar, Kanteeravanagar, Parimalanagar, J.C. Nagar, K.P. Agrahara, Magadi Road, Netaji Layout, Gopalapura, Basaveshwaranagar slum, Keshavanagar and surrounding areas, Malleswaram, Sriramapuram, R.T. Nagar, Sanjaynagar, Bashyam Park and surrounding areas, Devarajeevanahalli, Pillanna Garden, Machalibetta and surrounding areas.

Power shutdown

There will be power shutdown in many parts of Bangalore on Sunday and Monday.

According to a Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. (BESCOM) press release there will be no power between 10.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Sunday at Kammagondanahalli, Abbigere, Singapore, Kuvempunagar, Laxmipura and surrounding areas.

On Monday, there will be no power supply from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to the following areas: BEL Layout 1st and 2nd Stage, Muddinapalya, Ullalu, Ullalu Upanagara, Kodigehalli, Kannahalli, Seegehalli, Gollarapalya, Magadi Main Road and surrounding areas.

There will be disruption in power supply between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday on Banaswadi Main Road, Wheeler Road, Lazer Layout, Hutchins Road, (1st Cross to 6th Cross), M.S. Nagar, Cooke Town and surrounding areas.
