Shine named England's bowling coach

LONDON: Former Hampshire seamer Kevin Shine was named on Tuesday to succeed Troy Cooley as England's new fast bowling coach.

Shine feels he can bring in fresh ideas to the side and his inexperience at the top level will not be a problem while handling the assignment.

"When you look at coaches around the world — (Cooley) Troy is a case in point — people like David Leadbetter, the top golf coach, they haven't always played at the top level, well coaching cricket is no different," said Shine who is expected to join the England squad in India before the start of the third Test in late March.— PTI
