V-C is AU's State PIO

Vice-Chancellor, L. Venugopal Reddy, has been designated as the State Public Information Officer of Andhra University, under Sec. 19 (1) of Right of Information Act 2005, according to a university press release on Friday.

The Registrar, P. Vijaya Prakash, is the Public Information Officer under Sec. 5(1) of RTI Act while the Joint Registrar, K. Samrajyalakshmi (administration) is the Assistant IPO under Sec. 5(2) of the RTI Act.

Change in phone numbers

Telephone numbers starting with "250 xxxx'' presently working under F.10B technology will be transferred to E10B technology from the early hours of Sunday. The change is being made due to technical reasons, according to Telecom District Manager Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd., J. Ganta. There will be no change in the telephone numbers. However, STD subscribers are requested to re-register the STD dynamic code again after the transfer is effected (i.e., on Sunday morning). National workshop

A two-day national workshop on "Management of Integrated Power Pools: State of the Art'', is being organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, College of Engineering, GITAM, at Rushikonda on Saturday and Sunday.
