Nine persons injured as groups clash

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Two groups clashed over a land dispute and hurled stones at each other leading to tension at Moula ka Chilla in Reinbazar on Thursday. While seven persons including two policemen sustained injuries, a four-wheeler and two scooters were damaged in the process. Trouble broke out at around 4 p.m., when a group of 50 persons reportedly led by one Abdul Salam Sharfon, a TRS leader picked up an argument with MIM Sultanshahi corporator Abdul Rahman Khan who was supervising construction of a building in an open plot he had bought recently bought from Ram Chanderji Math. South Zone DCP Sandeep Shandilya came to the spot and deployed additional forces to check escalation of tension. While Sharfon's supporters charged the corporator with illegally constructing the building, the latter refuted the charge.
