Uninterrupted power supply during Ramzan

The Central Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited has taken measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the Ramzan month in and around the Charminar area.

`Yumul Quran'

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen will be holding its `Yumul Quran' (`Quran Day') on October 28 at the Mecca Masjid after the prayers on the occasion of the last Friday in the month of Ramzan.

Party president Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi will preside over the meeting.

Mayor hosts Iftar

Mayor T. Krishna Reddy hosted Iftar on Thursday at the MCH office at Tank Bund. Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, Deputy Mayor Subhas Chanderji, MCH Commissioner Sanjay Jaju, officials and corporators of different parties attended the dinner that followed.

Training in gardening

The school of gardening of agri-horticultural society, Public Gardens, is conducting a training course on vegetable carving at its premises. The course will be held for three days from October 28 to 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

English courses

The Centre for English Language Training (CELT), Osmania College of Engineering, is offering an advanced course in communication skills and personality development and an interactive course in English language and vocabulary. The courses will be conducted from November 7.

The last day for registration is November 6.

Results released

Results of the CLISE examinations, held in July, have been released. Pass certificates and marks memos will be despatched to the training institutions concerned, according to Director of Government Examinations G.V. Subba Rao.

Awareness talk

The Asian ENT and Speech and Audiology Centre is organising a public awareness talk on `protect your ears and hearing during Diwali' at 11 a.m. on October 29. G.V. Haripriya, clinical audiologist, will talk about the hazardous effect of noise and the preventive measures to be taken.
