Tenneti's statue unveiled

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) Chairman P.S.N. Raju on Wednesday unveiled the bust size bronze statue of the late freedom fighter Tenneti Viswanadham at Tenneti Park on the occasion of his 111th birth anniversary.

Mr. Raju described Tenneti as a great visionary who had fought relentlessly for the establishment of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant by spearheading the `Visakha Ukku, Andhrula Hakku' agitation.VUDA Vice-Chairman G. Venkatram Reddy said that Tenneti would always remain a source of inspiration for generations to come.

Former Rajya Sabha member Y. Lakshmi Prasadand others paid rich tributes to Tenneti.
