Dos and don'ts on number plates

VISAKHAPATNAM: All vehicle owners should display the vehicle registration numbers in the front and rear portion of the vehicles clearly and legibly from October 10. According to the Commissioner of Police, V.S.K. Kaumudi, the size of the number plates for two and three-wheelers should be 200 X 100 mm and for light motor vehicles and medium heavy commercial vehicles it should be 340 X 200 mm.

While the numbers should be painted in black over yellow background for all transport category vehicles others should paint the number in black over white background. The number plates should not have any fancy lettering or any other pictures, logos or designs.
