Twelve teachers named for award

MAN GALORE: The Dakshina Kannada district-level selection committee has announced teachers for the District Teachers' Award for 2005-06. These awards will be presented here on Monday, according to a press release from the office of Deputy Director for Public Instruction here.

The awardees in primary school section are: K. Ramesh Nayak, assistant teacher, Government Higher Primary School, Rayee, Bantwal, Prasanna Kumar, headmaster, S.D.M. Higher Primary School, Ujire, Belthangady, Rajkumar N., teacher, Government Higher Primary School, Kavoor, Mangalore, Chandravathi B., headmistress, Government Higher Primary School, Bajal Padpu, Mangalore, Muthu, headmaster, Government Higher Primary School, Iruvailu, Moodbidri, B. Janardhan Gowda, physical education teacher, Government Higher Primary School, Nelyadi, Puttur and N. Vasudev, headmaster, Government Higher Primary School, Enmaru, Sullia. The awardees in the high school section are: Vinayak Ganapathy Nayak, Janata High School, Adyanadka, Leelavathi, headmistress, Canara High School for Girls, Dongerkery, Clement Mascarenhas, headmaster, St. Sebastian High School, Ullal, Jayavarma Shetty, headmaster Government High School, Nellikaru, Moodbidri and M. Sharath Kumar Rao, headmaster, Navodaya School, Bettampady, Puttur.
