International recognition for photographer
Bangalore is home to many award-winning photographers, many of whom specialise in nature and wildlife photography. The Pakistan Salon Group (PSG), which is a part of the Photographic Art Society of Pakistan, has just awarded an honorary fellowship to C.P. Sathyanarayana.
Mr. Sathyanarayana was earlier conferred the Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society in the United Kingdom, becoming the first Indian to secure the distinction for the category "Colour prints- pictorial."
Mr. Sathyanarayana has more reasons to be happy because three of his photographs have been retained for display at the International Photographic Museum in Spain.
Films and darkrooms may have been overtaken by digital photography, but the people behind the lenses still remain artistic. M. Raghava
