NEW DELHI, APRIL 9. Jaco T. Mathew continued his giant killing act shocking second seed Konstantin Gruber of Austria 6-4, 7-5 in the singles quarterfinals of the $10,000 ITF Futures men's tennis in Colombo. The reward for the hard working Chennai lad was a semifinal face off against Davis Cupper Rohan Bopanna who knocked out compatriot Karan Rastogi 6-4, 6-4 in another last eight match of the clay court event.
The results: singles (quarterfinals): Jaco T. Mathew bt Konstantin Gruber 6-4, 7-5; Rohan Bopanna bt Karan Rastogi 6-4, 6-4; Peter Mayer-Tishcer 6-7(8), 6-4, 7-6(11). Doubles (semifinals): Bopanna and Kannan bt Mayer-Tischer and Nick Monroe 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. PTI
