Parents, college at loggerheads

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE, MARCH 25. Parents of 25 students of the Presidency Pre-University College and the college management are at loggerheads over the alleged denial of hall tickets to their children for the Pre-University examination starting on Monday.

S.R. Purushothman, a parent who heads the group of parents, has alleged that the college management had denied hall tickets to their wards because of "shortage of attendance," which, he said, was not true. "This is being cited only to extract penalty amount from our children," he said On the other hand, the college authorities claimed that their records showed that the students had shortage of attendance. This was brought to the notice of the parents and meetings were held. They denied the charge that management had asked for money from the students.

The parents have sought the intervention of the Hebbal Police in the matter.
