Blair rules out mediation

LONDON, DEC. 6. Brushing aside the Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf's plea for a ``role'' in resolving the Kashmir dispute, the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, has said both India and Pakistan should be supported to sort out the problem between themselves.

``I think its (Britain's) involvement is not possible. It is time to give every support to India and Pakistan to try and resolve the problem (between themselves),'' he said at a joint press conference with Gen. Musharraf after their talks. He was replying to a question on Gen. Musharraf's plea. — PTI
