MYSORE, DEC. 2. Residents of Mysore, who are already feeling the pinch of cold, will do well to pull out their sweaters, shawls and blankets. For, the night temperature is set to decline gradually in the next five days and reach 9 degrees Celsius on Monday. According to a five-day weather forecast on the BBC's website for worldwide weather, the minimum temperature in Mysore, which was 14 degrees Celsius on Thursday, is set for a drastic fall in the first week of December. The website has forecast the minimum temperature in Mysore on Friday to reach 18 degrees Celsius, before beginning a downward slide to 12 degrees Celsius on Saturday, 10 degrees Celsius on Sunday and eventually touching 9 degrees Celsius on Monday. The minimum temperature is the lowest expected from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. However, the maximum temperature 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a particular day will not fluctuate much. The maximum temperature, which was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius on Thursday, will increase to 25 degrees Celsius on Saturday, and decline to 23 degrees Celsius on Monday. Mysore is among the six urban centres in the State whose five-day weather forecast is available on the BBC's website for worldwide weather forecast. Just as Mysore, the minimum temperature across the State, including Bangalore, is set to decline in the next five days. The night temperature in Bangalore, which was 17 degrees Celsius on Thursday, is expected to dip to 10 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday, before recovering slightly to reach 11 degrees Celsius on Monday. Though little fluctuation is anticipated in the day temperature, visibility in Bangalore is expected to be "very poor'' on Sunday and Monday. However, it is expected to be good on Friday and Saturday. Poor visibility on Sunday and Monday is expected to hit flight services in Bangalore further. Weather in coastal Karnataka and north Karnataka too is expected to display a similar pattern. While the night temperature in Mangalore is set to decrease from 17 degrees Celsius on Thursday to 14 degrees Celsius on Saturday, before recovering to 15 degrees Celsius on Monday, the minimum temperature in Raichur is expected to dip from 14 degrees Celsius on Thursday to 10 degrees Celsius on Monday. The day temperature in Raichur is expected to go down marginally from 29 degrees Celsius on Thursday to 27 degrees Celsius on Monday. But the maximum temperature in Mangalore is expected to remain constant at 27 degrees Celsius in the next five days.
