By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, OCT. 12. The Outer Delhi Member of Parliament, Sajjan Kumar, today announced that a 30-bed polyclinic and a 10-bed maternity and child welfare centre would be set up in Mehrauli. A new underground parking lot is also being created for the residents of this area.

Talking to newsmen after undertaking an inspection of the area, Mr. Kumar, flanked by the Mehrauli MLA, Balram Tanwar, and Leader of the House in MCD, Satvir Singh, informed that in order tackle the severe problem of car parking faced by the residents of Mehrauli, it had been decided to establish an underground parking lot. As Mehrauli is situated at a height and its streets are narrow, the residents constantly face the problem of parking their vehicles. With the new underground parking coming up, much of the problems of the residents would be resolved.

Mr. Kumar also inaugurated the construction of a concrete road from Andheria More to Mehrauli police station at a cost of Rs. one crore.
