TIRUCHI, AUG.19. The Punjab National Bank has completed centralised banking solution (interconnectivity of branches) in 635 service outlets of over 135 centres to give online and value-added services to customers, the Deputy General Manager of the bank, S. K. Aggarwal, said. Speaking at power point presentation organised jointly by the regional office of the bank and its industrial area branch at the BHEL campus here recently, he said the bank was planning to extend the facility to 1,200 branches by March. The bank would provide Internet banking to the customers enabling customers to book railway tickets online. The Senior Regional Manager of the Tiruchi Region of the Bank, K. Ram Mohan, highlighted various facilities offered by the bank and said it had the largest network of branches among nationalised banks with 4,475 branches and achieved cent per cent computerisation. During the interaction session, the Senior Manager (IT), Subramania Kumar, highlighted various products and achievements of the bank. The Chief Manager (foreign exchange), K. Shivashankaran, clarified doubts regarding foreign exchange transactions. Senior Marketing Manager, Lakshmipathi, Senior Manager of the Industrial Area Branch, J. G. Verma, participated in the discussion. The Additional General Manager, Finance, BHEL, S. Chokkalingam, commended the efforts of the bank for their initiatives.
