KURNOOL, JULY 22. The Chief Secretary, Mohan Kanda, reviewed the arrangements for Krishna Pushkaram in Kurnool district at a video conference on Thursday. The Collector, Ajay Jain, told Mr. Mohan Kanda that some more financial assistance was required to complete the pushkara ghats undertaken by the Irrigation Department. The Collector said parking slot for the vehicles was planned on the river bed. However, the place would be submerged if water level rose. An alternative site would also be developed for parking. Mr. Jain said the Forest Department was requested to give permission for construction of road between Sangameswaram and Kapileswaram. The SP, Mohan Rao and others were present.
Revenue office inspected
The Commissioner of Land Administration, R.C. Samal, inspected the Mandal Revenue Office here on Thursday. Mr. Samal who was on a two-visit to the district held discussions with the collector on revenue matters and visited the radar station at Nandyal.
Award for RTC manager
The manager of APSRTC, Kurnool depot-2, R.R.K. Kishore, received the award for best mileage of Tata fleet at a function in Vijayawada on July 21. Mr. Kishore, who worked as the depot manager at Cuddapah last year was instrumental in achieving the highest mileage for 28 buses.
