Letters to the Editor
Sir, Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's outburst attributing the BJP's electoral debacle to the Gujarat riots and Narendra Modi sounds strange. No individual, howsoever great, is bigger than his party or organisation. Anyway, his `secular' stance could not rescue the party. Would it not be better for the younger leadership to emerge?
J. Vithal Rao,
Sir, The `rightist' BJP should not deliberate on whether Gujarat was responsible for its defeat. Rather, it should decide whether Gujarat was right.
Praveen Lazarado,
