THRISSUR, JUNE 27. The Punjab National Bank has adopted Kozhukkulli village of Nadathara Panchayath in Thrissur district as per the village adoption scheme of the bank. The Moorkanikkara branch of the bank, which caters to the credit needs of Kozhukkulli, organised the function declaring the adoption scheme on Saturday. The District Collector V M Gopala Menon who inaugurated the function also distributed the uniforms and notebooks to the poor students of the two schools in the village. The Regional Manager of the bank, C. Subramanian, and the Zonal Manager, Muralidharan, as well as the officials of the NABARD and the Nadathara panchayat attended the function. As a part of the programme a free dental health camp was also held today at branch premises.
