Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Railway Minister, Laloo Prasad Yadav's fight against cold drinks manufactured by multinational corporations (MNCs)is genuine. But compelling the passengers to drink only lassi instead of `stale cold drinks' may attract the notice of human rights organisations. What Mr. Yadav should concentrate on is ensuring the punctuality of trains. He is yet to speak about this problem.
C.P. Velayudhan Nair,
* * * Sir, Mr. Yadav should realise that it takes more than mud pots, home-spun fabric or lassi to make the Railways safe, punctual and comfortable.
Roy da Silva,
