AOC Centre holds SAI

HYDERABAD, JUNE 12. AOC Centre rallied to hold Sports Authority of India (Sec'bad) to a two-all draw in the A-1 Division hockey league championship match at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Sunday.

SAI shot into lead in the 29th minute through M.A. Aleem. At halftime, it led by the solitary goal.

On resumption, SAI went into a 2-0 lead thanks to Veer Singh, who converted a penalty stroke awarded by referee Ramesh Kutty in the 42nd minute.

However, AOC fought remarkably to strike twice through centre-forward Satyanarayana and centre-half Karthikeyan.
