KOTTAYAM, APRIL 5. The Nair Service Society (NSS) today came out with the policy statement for the coming Parliament elections which calls for electing `selfless candidates who could protect democracy, secularism and social justice' and said such candidates should be supported `irrespective of their community, religion or political affiliation'. The statement, issued by the general secretary, P.K. Narayana Panicker, after consultations with the members of the director board today, said NSS had been following a policy of equidistance with all political parties and nothing had happened to force a change in this perspective at the national or State level.
