KOCHI, MARCH 29. The Cochin Port Trust today considered the price bid of Dubai Port International for 33.3 per cent revenue share for the International Container Transhipment Terminal (ICTT) of the port and approved the same for sending it to the Ministry of Shipping for further action. Expressing happiness over the conclusion of the bidding process, the CPT chairman, Jacob Thomas, said the work on road and rail connectivity and dredging will be taken up on a priority basis to ensure time-bound implementation of the terminal project. He said other connected projects, like the special economic zone, international bunkering terminal, single-buoy mooring for KRL, LNG re-gasification project, ship-repair facility, cruise terminal etc will be taken up soon so that the planned investment of Rs. 7,445 crores in the next 10 years could be made a reality.
