`Durga Vahini' activists held

GWALIOR, MARCH 14. Six women activists of `Durga Vahini', a woman's wing of VHP, were arrested here today for blackening the face of director of a play which allegedly presented Lord Rama, Sita, Laxman and Hanuman in an ``indecent'' manner.

The Deputy Inspector-General, P. K. Runwal, said the activists barged into the house of Neetu Sapra, Director of the play `Kal Aaj Aur Kal', and blackened her face besides damaging the furniture.

The VHP and the Bajrang Dal were opposing presentation of the characters in the play in an allegedly indecent manner during the annual function of Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management on February 21.
