KOCHI, MARCH. 11. The Kerala branch of the Indian Association of Private Psychiatry will be inaugurated at Hotel Renaissance here on March 14 by the Minister for Excise and Fisheries, K V Thomas. The IAPP's continuing medical education programme will be inaugurated on the same day by Justice A K Basheer. The State president of the association, Dr E. Mohandas, will preside over the function. The MACTA chairman, K G George, Dr C. J. John and journalists will participate in a discussion on the topic - `Media and mental health'. Papers will be presented on `Religion, devotion and mental health' and `Private psychiatry in Kerala'. Among the topics that will be discussed are the changes that have to be brought in the Mental Health Act of 1987.
