Trader found dead

A businessman, Laxman Lal Mastry (35), of Raghavendranagar in Marredpally, who went out for a party with his friends on Thursday night, was found murdered in a nala near Bhoodevinagar under the Alwal police station area on Friday.

Injuries were found on the victim's head, chest and knees. Last night, at 8 p.m., the victim went out with his friends -- Bhagwan, Samunder Singh, Rajnath and Mallikarjun. They reportedly consumed liquor at Mallikarjun's workshop near Bowenpally market yard. His body was found in a nala this morning the Alwal police said.

Brothel raided; eight held

The Chilakalguda police on Friday raided a brothel house in Warasiguda and arrested eight persons. Four cellphones and a car were recovered from their possession, the Gopalapuram ACP, R.D.S. Bhandari, said.

Man dies in fire mishap

A 60-year-old man, Zahoor Khan, was killed and a couple sustained serious burns when fire broke out in their hut at Chintalmet in Rajendranagar on Friday night. The injured, Osman Khan and his wife, Ahmedi Begum, were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital.
