Training in food production

COIMBATORE, JAN. 19. The Small Industries Services Institute (SISI) will conduct a one-month entrepreneurship training programme on food production from January 27 to February 26.

The programme was aimed at providing training in food production, storage and quality, familiarising the trainees with the financial assistance offered by banks, training in market survey and preparation of project reports.

Candidates should have a pass in Plus-Two (Science group) as minimum qualification. Those aged between 18 and 35 could apply. For those belonging to the SC/ST sections the age limit was 45, the release said. The training would be provided on the SISI premises on Patel Road in Ramnagar.

Those interested should pay a fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SCs/STs only). A demand draft for the amount should be drawn on the PAO, SSI, Chennai, and sent along with an application to the Deputy Director, Small Industries Services Institute, 386, Patel Road, Ramnagar, Coimbatore- 641009. Ph: 0422-2230426/2233956. The last date for receipt of applications is January 27.
