BANGALORE, JAN. 10. The former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation, U.R. Rao, on Thursday criticised the media for "running after politicians and bureaucrats, forgetting its responsibility of taking the country in the direction of progress". He was speaking at the inauguration of a three-day seminar on building services at the Satish Dhawan auditorium of the Indian Institute of Science here, according to a press release issued by the Electrical Consultants' Association. Prof. Rao urged the service sector to face the challenges posed by globalisation. The sector had a great role in building a developed India. If India did not improve its performance in various fields, its growth rate would come down, he said.
