Heavy rain likely in Andhra Pradesh

CHENNAI DEC. 25. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and North Coastal Tamil Nadu. Isolated rainfall occurred over South Interior Karnataka.

The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms are: Kavali 6, Nellore 5, Cholavaram (Thiruvallur dt.) and Udayagiri (Nellore dt.) 2 each.The minimum temperature rose appreciably at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, Telangana, at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Interior Karnataka, North Interior Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over rest North Interior Tamil Nadu, South Kerala, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

FORECAST (Valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over rest Tamil Nadu, Telangana, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Kerala.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over south coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
