Sir, The article, "Killing the Ganga" (Aug. 31) is disturbing. The violation of the basic rights of the people of Tehri stirred the anger in most of us here. The abuses the Ganga has suffered are gross enough. Your article shows to what extent human insensitivity and money-mindedness can go. What is the answer of the protagonists of the Tehri Dam to the grim threat that it poses?
