15 arrested after raid on pub

HYDERABAD June 30. The sleuths of Hyderabad Police Commissioner's Task Force (West) on Sunday arrested 15 persons, including 13 women singers, for allegedly organising and performing obscene dances at the Hunt Pub located in Somajiguda.

The arrested included the bar owner, Ravinder Goud, and his associate, Hameed, a press release said. During a raid conducted on the pub, it was found that the duo were organising obscene dances and the female singers were collecting money from customers by making indecent gestures.

Woman jumps to death

Dejected over problems in family life, a woman labourer, Mamata Bai, jumped to death from the fifth floor of a building under construction at Kompally on Monday.

Man killed in accident

An unidentified man (40) died on the spot when a speeding truck hit him this morning at Erragadda junction while crossing the road.

The lorry was going from SR Nagar to Kukatpally. The victim was clad in blue trousers and white shirt.
