India `A'-Durham tie drawn

London June 30. The four-day match between India `A' and Durham County Cricket Club ended in a draw at Chester-le-Street on Monday.

Resuming at three for no loss, the visitors quickly lost Gautam Gambhir (4) and W. Jaffer (15), both dismissed by N.G. Hatch. Skipper S.S. Das was back in the pavilion for 31 with the score at 52 for three.

Then, Ambati Rayudu (29 not out, 43 balls, 2 x4) and Parthiv Patel (15 not out) took the score to 94 at lunch.

However, on resumption, play was only possible for just an over before the rain had the last word.

Brief scores: India `A' 482 for nine decl. and 95 for three (S.S. Das 31, A.T. Rayudu 29 not out) drew with Durham CC 333 for nine decl. (G.J. Muchall 121, M. Gough 56, I. Hunter 44, M. Kartik four for 112, A. Mishra three for 85).
