Indian Aluminium Company has registered a modest growth in its profit after tax at Rs. 118.60 crores for the year ended March 31, 2003 against Rs. 117.10 crores in the corresponding period last year. The company said the one time charge and adverse impact on operations caused by a freak storm in Hirakud were responsible for the meagre growth. Net sales were Rs. 1,371 crores against Rs. 1,368 crores. Exports have increased by 12 per cent to Rs. 392 crores from Rs. 349 crores .
