Ceat lowers tyre prices

NEW DELHI MARCH 6. Ceat Limited today announced a reduction in the prices of its tyre products by 5 per cent as post excise cut benefits announced in the Union budget for the industry.

Announcing the reduction, P. K. Chowdhary, Managing Director, Ceat, said the reduction in excise duty from 32 to 24 per cent would bring the much-needed relief to the industry, which has been facing a steep increase in raw material prices.
