Letters to the Editor
Sir, I read with amazement the article of Muchkund Dubey on the Government's policy towards Bangladesh. The outpourings of the former Foreign Secretary confirm my belief that Indian security scenario is in such a mess due to our Foreign Secretaries and foreign policy advisers. How else would you explain the missed opportunities to tackle the border disputes? Opportunities presented themselves on a platter during the Shimla agreement, and at the time of carving out of Bangladesh. Now, they pour out articles denigrating the Government, forgetting their contribution to the present state of affairs. N. Krishnan, Chennai
