Presentation of CRN Channel awards on Feb. 21

Bangalore Feb. 11. Computer Reseller News (CRN), India's premier IT channels magazine, has announced that it will host, for the third time, the CRN Channel Awards 2003 here on February 21.

The awards will prove to be the definitive index of performance for resellers, system integrators, and other entrepreneurs in the IT industry. About 900 of the country's top sub-distributors, resellers, and value-added resellers will participate.

There are 17 awards, one each for the best reseller catering to the metro and non-metro areas in each region; best value-added reseller in each of four regions; four national awards each for the best sub-distributor/dealer, corporate reseller, enterprise networking, and enterprise software; and, an `Outstanding contribution' award.

The awards are based on a three-layered process of evaluation, which will include opinion polls and survey questionnaire based on parameters set by the CRN editorial team and a focus group discussion of CRN readers.

ORG MARG, a leading market research agency, will audit applications with details about the company, turnover, other details, and names and addresses of 10 customers with invoice copies within the past 12 months. The CRN editorial team will take up the final screening and shortlist nominees in all zones. The service, range of products, client base, business practices, and value addition will determine the final winners.

Maulik Jasubhai, Executive Director, Jasubhai Digital Media, says the CRN Channel Awards are aimed at recognising the role of channels in putting India at the forefront of the IT revolution and at becoming an ideal benchmark of performance for the channels community.
