Jammu & Kashmir
By Our Staff Reporter
He is on a two-day tour of the border districts of Jammu region where several party leaders and cadre have shifted allegiance to the PDP. The visit is being seen as an attempt to recover the lost ground in Rajouri and Poonch districts. Addressing a conference of the `panches', `sarpanches' and delegates and office-bearers in Rajouri, Mr. Abdullah said: "False promises and emotions were the foundation of the PDP-Congress-Panthers coalition Government. Both the Congress and the PDP had made many promises to the people during the Assembly elections but not even a single promise has been fulfilled so far," he said.
