Inflow into Mettur dam increases

SALEM Jan. 19. There are indications that the water released by Karnataka has reached Mettur dam. The quantum of inflow, which was hovering in the region of 500 cusecs till Sunday noon, has risen to over 1,000 cusecs.

The sources said the inflow might go up in the night, and the exact realisation would be known by tomorrow morning.

The level today stood at 28.960 ft and the capacity stood at 7.116 tmcft.
