CICDS meet in Kolkata

KOZHIKODE DEC. 21. The Confederation of Indian Communist and Democratic Socialists (CICDS), formerly the Communist Confederation of India, will hold its national conference in Kolkata on February 21 and 22.

The Kerala Minister for Cooperation and Ports, M.V. Raghavan, announced the meeting of the organisation of nine communist parties, at a news conference here today.

Mr. Raghavan, who is the chairman of the Confederation and a leader of the Communists Marxist Party (CMP),has also sought the cooperation of the CPI and the CPI(M) to join the alliance with the Congress at the national-level on a common platform in the wake of the victory of the BJP in the Gujarat elections, he said.
