Sri Lanka manages moderate score

Bloemfontein Dec. 6. Sri Lanka, after electing to bat, made 228 for eight wickets in its allotted 50 overs against South Africa in the fifth one-day international here on Friday.

Kumara Sangakkara topscored for the visitors with an unbeaten 77, while opening batsman Marvan Atapattu made 53.

For South Africa Shaun Pollock and Allan Donald picked up two wickets apiece.
