Jaitly's petition against Tehelka dismissed

NEW DELHI DEC. 3. A Delhi Court today dismissed a criminal defamation suit filed by the Samata Party leader, Jaya Jaitly, against the defunct website Tehelka.com and its Editor, Tarun Tejpal, alleging that they had defamed her in an article published in the news portal.

The Metropolitan Magistrate, Gulshan Kumar, dismissed the suit as neither the complainant Jaitly nor her advocate attended the court.
