Rupee strengthens against dollar

MUMBAI DEC. 3. The rupee improved further against the dollar at the interbank foreign exchange market here today on persistent dollar selling by corporates.

The rupee, after a weak start at 48.2775/2875 a dollar, recovered later in the day as corporators continued to sell dollars and ended at 48.25/2575, better than the previous close of 48.27/28.
