Senior IAS officers transferred

CHENNAI NOV. 13. Close on the heels of Saturday's Cabinet reshuffle, the Government today effected a shake-up in the bureaucracy, transferring senior IAS officers. K. N. Venkataraman, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, has been appointed Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister. Oddly enough, Santha Sheela Nair, Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply department, who led a delegation on an aerial survey of waterlogged areas of the city today, was moved out. She is changing places with the Rural Development Secretary, L. N. Vijayaraghavan. Leena Nair, Chairperson and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Corporation for Women's Development, has been posted as Commissioner of Handlooms and Textiles. Niranjan Mardi, Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau, has been transferred as Commissioner of Land Reforms.
