In view of the fact that the fair offers tremendous opportunities for Indian companies to learn about Chinese products and technologies, besides providing meeting ground for entrepreneurs, China has taken 2400 metres of space for the Chinese Pavilion to showcase products of some of its well-known companies.
Holding a media briefing on the eve of the event, Xu Xu, head of the China Pavilion and Deputy Director General of the Department of Mechanical and Electronic Products Import and Export of Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, said the range of products that would be on display at the Pavilion include home appliances, large passenger vehicles, motor cars, machine tools, telecommunications and internet products.
Some of the leading industrial players who are entering the show are, among others, TCL Corporation, China Hua Lu Group Co. and Amoy King Long United Automotive Industry Co., he said adding that following its entry into the WTO, China was keen on strengthening its economic and technological cooperation with other countries and was opening itself by creating favourable environment for investors, thus ushering in a new phase of reforms.
