New CMD for Nathpa Jhakri

NEW DELHI: Y. N. Apparao has taken over the charge as chairman-cum-managing director of the public sector Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation (NJPC), now implementing the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Power Project in Himachal Pradesh. He succeeds Yogendra Prasad, CMD, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation, who had been holding the dual charge since April 2001.
