Mr. Shastri told reporters here that though some independent and BJP legislators and a BSP MLA had met him to express their grievances against the Mayawati-led Government, no one had so far given him in writing that they were withdrawing support to it. Asked about the alleged remark of the Samajwadi Party chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav, that he was acting as an ``agent of the BJP'', the Governor refused to comment.
MLAs' remand extended
The judicial remand of the independent legislators, Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya and Dhananjay Singh, was today extended by 60 days while their bail plea will come up for hearing on November 13. Both the MLAs were produced in Lucknow before the Special Judge (Gangsters Act), Sudhir Kumar, who extended their remand till November 15. PTI
