PT supports Rajnikant proposal

CHENNAI Nov. 1. The Puthiya Tamizhagam has pledged its support to the film actor, Rajnikant's announcement of leading a ``people's movement for linking of Peninsular rivers'', as this project would reduce poverty and increase job opportunities.

The party leader, K. Krishnasamy, in a statement said the actor's pronouncements to impress upon the Centre and the States to take up the project, even at a huge cost, Dr. Krishnasamy said the party cadre would offer labour and support to raise finance.
